Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ToolyTools handles information when you use the website and its tools.
Information We Collect
Most ToolyTools pages do not require an account. Some tools process the text, settings, URLs, or color values you enter so they can generate the result you asked for.
Some settings may be stored in your browser using local storage so a tool can remember your preferences.
Strava Integration
Workout Wallpaper, Afterrun, and Taper may connect to the Strava API with your permission. Authorization happens through Strava's official OAuth flow.
ToolyTools uses authorized Strava data only to generate the requested output, such as a workout wallpaper or a minimal route poster. It does not sell your Strava data or share it with advertisers.
The app may read activity details such as distance, time, activity type, heart rate, cadence, elevation, calories, and totals when Strava provides them. ToolyTools does not modify your Strava activities.
Depending on the tool and permissions you select, ToolyTools may also process an activity name, local date and time, heart-rate values, route summary, description, device name, splits, laps, achievements, kudos, and personal race-calendar entries. Strava activity data is displayed only in your authenticated session.
Strava activity data is cached for no more than seven days. Encrypted OAuth tokens and account identifiers are retained only while your connection remains active. Generated images are returned directly to you and are not placed in a public cache.
Workout Wallpaper may create a high-entropy, revocable automation token so your personal shortcut can load the generated wallpaper without exposing your Strava OAuth token or other API data. The automation URL acts like a password and should not be shared. Logging out of Workout Wallpaper ends only the browser session, so the automation URL continues working. Each automation URL request refreshes its last-used time. If it is not used for more than seven days, ToolyTools deletes the shared Strava connection and attempts to revoke its authorization; this also ends access through Afterrun for the same connection.
You can request a copy of data stored about you through the contact page, or disconnect Strava from the connected tool. Disconnecting revokes access where possible and permanently deletes the related Strava tokens, account identifiers, cached activities, and derived Strava data. For Taper, races you added manually remain available in your Taper session until you delete them. ToolyTools provides an on-screen deletion receipt. You may also request deletion through the contact page.
Strava may monitor and collect usage data concerning access to the Strava API and may use that usage data for its business purposes. Your use of Strava remains subject to the Strava Privacy Policy.
ToolyTools is not affiliated with or endorsed by Strava.
Generated Content
Some tools generate images, URLs, previews, or other output based on your settings. Generated output may be temporarily cached to improve performance or make the tool work correctly.
Analytics, Cookies, and Local Storage
ToolyTools uses local storage to remember tool settings, such as saved wallpaper colors, holiday settings, and cookie preferences. This keeps small preferences on your own device.
ToolyTools may use optional analytics to understand which pages are useful and improve the site. Analytics is only loaded after you accept the cookie notice. If you decline, analytics will not be loaded.
ToolyTools does not use Google AdSense or advertising scripts. You can clear saved preferences, including cookie consent, by clearing this site's browser data.
Third-Party Services
Some tools may interact with third-party services, including Strava. Those services have their own privacy policies and terms.
ToolyTools uses infrastructure providers to host the service and database, including Neon for database hosting, and uses Google Analytics only after cookie consent. These providers may process technical information in the locations where they operate. ToolyTools does not provide Strava activity data to analytics or advertising providers.
Data Security
ToolyTools takes reasonable steps to protect the information processed by its tools, but no website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
